About

React Native apps are made interactive though the use of state. Changing state will automatically re-render a component, and you can use that new state to change what is displayed on the screen.

It's important to always use the setState method - never mutate state directly! Otherwise, your component may be put into a bad state, and won't update.

Summary of Content:

  • Two ways to define initial state
  • Using TouchableOpacity to make interactive buttons
  • How to update state with setState
