A Lesson by Mike Wolfson
The Android Profiler tool, includes the ability to look at how your application uses memory. This will help you find memory leaks and churn that could cause jank, freezes, or app crashes.
Using the profiler, you can:
- Find problematic memory allocations that could impact performance
- Understand which objects consume memory during certain Application operations
- View memory allocations, to find leaks, or places where too many objects are allocated in short timeframe
This video will show how to use the profiler to display a real-time graph of your app’s memory usage. It will also show how to track memory allocations, and use those details to understand which objects are consuming memory.
