A lesson by Patryk Poborca
This is the second of a three-video series exploring the Serialization Moshi, by Square. This is a newer up and coming library that attempts to mimic the best features of GSON while adding some strict rules to its implementation. In this first video we will cover:
In this lesson you’ll learn:
- Omitting fields for deserialization and serialization
- Working with basic JSON Adapters (AKA Type Adapters) using Dates as an example
- Adding additional logic to Adapters
The goal of this video is to help you see how JSONAdapters are implemented and used as opposed to how their equivalent TypeAdapters work in GSON. Additionally will demonstrate that there is a simple and convenient method for creating Adapters using annotations.
